A Message from BC Renal Executive Director
Welcome to the first edition of BC Kidney Research in Focus! This semi-annual publication aims to highlight the depth and breadth of research by kidney health professionals across BC, as well as patient partners who are part of research teams.
By exploring unanswered questions through local, national and international studies – and translating the knowledge gained into clinical practice – we can ensure that our patients benefit from evidence-based care and that they experience the best possible health outcomes and quality of life.
In addition to highlighting recently published studies, each issue of BC Kidney Research in Focus will feature profiles of the people behind our research projects. This includes not only principal investigators, but also staff members who are central to the success of any project. We hope this provides insight and inspiration to those of you who may be considering a research project but aren’t sure about what’s involved.
