Indigenous Kidney Health
A Vision for Better Health – Meno Ya Win – Indigenous Kidney Health Series 
Produced by Can-Solve CKD Network, this video series is a resource for Indigenous people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), their caregivers and healthcare providers.

The goal is to assist Indigenous people and their caregivers learn about CKD and help them with decision-making about the treatment choices available to them when their kidneys may stop working.
Please note:
  • These videos were not produced in BC. Please speak with your local provider for information specific to BC kidney patients. 
  • Terminology used in the videos may differ slightly than what is used in BC. For example, the videos reference “satellite dialysis units” which are called “community dialysis units” in BC.
  • Equipment demonstrated in the videos may be different than the equipment currently used in BC.
  • Financial support may differ from the videos. BC kidney patients have access to funding for home plumbing and electrical renovations related to home hemodialysis. In addition, the cost of home hemodialysis equipment and supplies are covered.
